One cream

When I became a mum, I found myself asking the same question over and over.

Why did we need a different cream for everything?

One for eczema.

One for dry skin.

One for bites.

One for scratches.

One for sore noses.

One for rashes.

One for ageing.

As our family grew, so did the collection of creams in our cupboard. Between raising four children, frequent doctor visits, and trying to manage everyday skin problems, I became increasingly frustrated. It felt like we were constantly treating symptoms rather than understanding why they kept happening in the first place.

At the same time, after my first pregnancy, I became seriously unwell myself. Months of hospital visits, misdiagnoses, and unanswered questions changed the way I looked at health. Instead of asking, "What can I use to fix this?" I started asking, "Why is this happening?"

That question led me to study naturopathy and herbal medicine at Torrens University.

The deeper I studied physiology, nutrition, herbal medicine, and skin science, the more one idea kept appearing.

A healthy skin barrier changes everything.

When the skin barrier is supported, skin is better able to do what it was designed to do: retain moisture, defend itself from everyday irritation, and maintain balance over time.

That changed the way I thought about skincare.

Instead of creating a different cream for every problem, I wanted to create one cream that simply supported healthy skin.

I began researching botanicals with clinical evidence, traditional herbal medicine, and skin-recognised ingredients. I formulated, tested, adjusted, and refined until I had a cream my own family reached for every single day.

Not because it promised miracles.

But because it supported the skin itself.

That cream became Yindi.

Today, Yindi is still made with the same philosophy it began with.

Simple.

Whole ingredients.

Evidence-informed botanicals.

Supporting the skin's natural barrier rather than working against it.

Because healthy skin isn't about owning more creams.

It's about giving your skin what it needs to do what it was designed to do.

Yindi.
